- You fill out the form requesting a tattoo from the Temple here.
- I reply to you via email with dates based on the availability you provided, and some questions about your design. Common questions include where you’d like the tattoo, or if you’d like it in color or not. During the email exchange you’ll be able to send me reference photos.
- Once your date is chosen, you’ll send me a $50 deposit over Venmo in order to secure your appointment.
- On the day of your appointment, you will arrive after having some sort of breakfast or lunch to nourish your body before the experience of being poked for hours. You’ll have something hydrating (water and other beverages are also available at the studio, so don’t worry if you forget!)
- When you arrive at the studio, you’ll have your unexpired photo ID ready for me to scan for my records, and you’ll fill out a consent form in keeping with Vermont state procedure. If you are under the age of 18, you will need a legal guardian there to also provide valid photo ID, and a form of documentation stating that they are your legal guardian. Most commonly this is a birth certificate. This documentation needs to have both of your legal names. If you have any questions you are welcome to reach out.
- After we finish the paperwork, together we will look at the design and we will make any changes you would like to see to the tattoo. This includes changing elements, skewing the perspective, inverting the image, and in some cases you may not feel in synch with what I’ve drawn. In this case, we’ll sit together and take time to get to the heart of what you’re picturing, and I’ll redraw it there. While I’m drawing, you’ll be welcome to hang out in studio, and we can either chat, you can look at your phone, hang out with your support person if you’ve brought a buddy, etc.
- When the design is ready, I’ll print out a few sizes that you’ll be able to hold up to your body and we’ll discover the correct size for you. When that’s done, I’ll print a thermal stencil that will be stamped onto your body. This will guide me while I’m tattooing you, and this step is the final space where we’ll triple check that this design is feeling comfortable and desirable for you. The stencil can be applied as many times as needed.
- Before inking, I’ll set up my tattoo station, gathering the supplies needed like the ink, the tattoo machine, gloves, cartridges, etc.
- You will either sit or lay back in a position that’s as comfortable as possible, and we’ll get down to business for the next few hours.
- At the end, I’ll invite you to look in the mirror and let me know if there’s any part of the tattoo that you’d like added to, filled in, etc before you’re on your way. Touch-ups are free in the next 6 months after the appointment, but it’s definitely easy enough to make any little adjustments in the moment.
- After that, I’ll take a photo of your tattoo, wrap you up in a bandage, and you’ll pay by either cash or Venmo, and be on your way.
- If you had a positive experience, you’ll hopefully want to share it and leave me a Google review. T his helps me a lot and is greatly appreciated!
- If you have feedback about your experience, I definitely would like to hear it and you’re welcome to fill out the form here.
